Program Manager 80-100%

Location:  Wangen b. Düb. &/or Geneva



The program manager is responsible to implement and deliver IT service management practices across all units within the Engineering and Technology department. She/he will plan and implement the program from start to completion, will develop budgets, the program organization, the delivery plan and lead the implementation up to the delivery. The main mission is the introduction and timely delivery of new harmonized processes and practices in the IT service management with the goal to improve efficiency and resilience of the technical services.

Your Mission


•    Lead the implementation and ensure the successful delivery of the given IT service management objectives for the Engineering and Technology department in time, on budget and in scope.
•    Initiate and set program goals, prepare and deliver budgets and plans for maximum productivity and be accountable for delivering against the given objectives
•    Provide strategic vision and strong leadership to all involved divisions and cross-functional teams
•    Supervise all program members and advise program staff in various tasks, ensuring program goals are reached
•    Keep management and stakeholders informed with detailed and accurate reports about program progress and achievements
•    Discover ways to enhance IT operations efficiency
•    Manage program risks according to an HRO and within the context of "Just Culture"

Your Profile


•    Master's degree in science with an engineering or computing background and corresponding work experience
•    Further education in business administration is of advantage 
•    Proven experience (5+ years) as an IT program manager with traditional and agile teams or other senior management position
•    Strong communication and leadership skills including experience with cross-functional teams and agile to break silos and improve collaboration
•    Open minded, customer oriented with the ability to work independently combined by a natural au-thority and a high sense of responsibility
•    Knowledge and experience in IT service management (IT operation), preferably ITIL
•    Excellent knowledge of the English language, good knowledge of German or French
•    Knowhow about technical services in the aviation industry would be an asset
